North Sumatra Governor Orders Immediate Treatment for South Nias Tumour Patient

Medan (ANTARA) - North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution has instructed for the immediate and maximum treatment of a patient suffering from a malignant tumour from South Nias Regency during a working visit to the Lagundri Community Health Centre (Puskesmas) in the district. Bobby affirmed that the North Sumatra Provincial Government will bear all medical and surgical costs for the patient until the treatment process is complete. The governor said he met directly with the patient, named Padimasi Ziraluo, who has suffered from a malignant tumour on her left arm for 11 years. He also provided motivation to Padimasi Ziraluo, who was lying weak in bed, to have the will to undergo surgery at the Haji General Hospital in Medan. “Seeing her condition, I immediately ordered the North Sumatra Health Office to promptly bring the patient to Medan to undergo surgery,” said Bobby. The governor also inspected two patients undergoing medical procedures in the North Sumatra Provincial Government’s mobile operating bus parked in the yard of the Lagundri Community Health Centre. According to him, this mobile health service will continue to be strengthened to reach more people in various regions using the mobile bus. “We will add more buses next year, including medical personnel, while waiting for the improvement of Community Health Centre and hospital facilities in the regions,” said Bobby. Padimasi Ziraluo, the patient suffering from a malignant tumour in South Nias, expressed gratitude for receiving direct attention from North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution. She gave thanks because all costs for her treatment and surgery at the Haji General Hospital in Medan are covered by the North Sumatra Provincial Government. “I am very grateful, hopefully I can be treated quickly. It has been 11 years and it keeps getting bigger, and it hurts more when I move,” said Padimasi.
