North Sumatra Governor: Hajj Pilgrims Maintain Solidarity in the Holy Land
Medan (ANTARA) - North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution has reminded the 5,933 prospective hajj pilgrims from North Sumatra to maintain solidarity while performing their worship in the Holy Land. “I advise the hajj pilgrims and hajj officials to maintain solidarity, health, and the good name of North Sumatra,” said Bobby after attending the Halalbihalal and Tepung Tawar for the 2026 Hajj Pilgrims at the North Sumatra Governor’s Office on Monday. The Governor stated that these North Sumatra hajj pilgrims are divided into 17 flight groups that will begin entering the Medan Hajj Dormitory on Tuesday (21/4). He conveyed that this Halalbihalal momentum serves as a reminder for the hajj pilgrims to return to their innate nature after undergoing worship during the holy month of Ramadan. Bobby also asked the pilgrims to forgive each other, strengthen their relationships, and enhance togetherness because these are important values that must be continuously maintained, especially in the Holy Land. “May all these hajj pilgrims be granted health and strengthened physically until they reach the Holy Land and return to Indonesia,” he said. The Governor also prayed for the smooth execution for these North Sumatra hajj pilgrims in performing the hajj, the fifth pillar of Islam. “The worship performed in the Holy Land is not only about faith but also about physical readiness and body health,” Bobby stressed. He also expressed that the best prayer for these North Sumatra hajj pilgrims as selected individuals receiving the call from Allah SWT. In addition, Bobby advised hajj officials to always assist the pilgrims, especially the elderly, because performing the hajj requires cooperation and mutual understanding. “I entrust prayers for North Sumatra, may it be safe and far from drugs. Kept away from disasters, and its economy advances through community economy,” Bobby stated.
