Medan (ANTARA) - North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution has called on the Regional Daily Board (DHD) of the ’45 Struggle Cultivation Agency to continuously synergise the spirit of struggle with the development vision and mission of the provincial government.

“We want every DHD 45 programme to embody a spirit of struggle that can be collaborated with the North Sumatra Provincial Government’s development vision and mission,” Bobby said after receiving the North Sumatra DHD 45 board at the Governor’s Office on Monday.

The governor said the fighting spirit and development vision must be continuously nurtured to instil the values of the 1945 struggle spirit amongst the people of North Sumatra.

He also expressed gratitude for the visit and the introduction of the new North Sumatra DHD 45 management, headed by retired Major General Muhammad Hasyim.

The North Sumatra DHD 45 for the 2026–2031 term has scheduled its management inauguration to take place before the peak commemoration of the Republic of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day on 17 August.

“Our hope is that after the inauguration, we can continue to foster the spirit of the ’45 struggle,” Bobby said.

The governor also congratulated the elected North Sumatra DHD 45 board members and expressed hope that the new management would run various development programmes in the region.

“This is to foster the spirit of struggle within the community, particularly regarding development in North Sumatra,” Bobby said.

DHD 45 North Sumatra Chairman retired Major General Muhammad Hasyim explained that his side introduced the new management structure of the civic organisation for the 2026–2031 service period.

In addition, Hasyim continued, they also presented a number of strategic work programmes designed in collaboration with the North Sumatra Provincial Government.

He stressed the importance of preserving the soul and spirit of the 1945 independence, especially among the younger generation who are the main pillars of the Indonesian nation’s progress.

“This youthful spirit needs to be continuously encouraged by us, especially given that North Sumatra is currently led by a Governor who also represents the younger generation,” Hasyim said.
