North Sumatra Disaster Management Centre Records 233 Families Affected by Floods in Binjai City
Medan (ANTARA) - The North Sumatra Disaster Management Centre (Pusdalops) recorded that 233 families were affected by floods in Binjai City.
Based on the Pusdalops North Sumatra report received in Medan on Friday, the flood disaster occurred on Thursday (May 14th).
Pusdalops North Sumatra recorded that the 233 affected families were spread across the Rambung Barat sub-district, Binjai Selatan district.
At least 857 people from the 233 families were affected by the unfortunate event.
The Head of Emergency Response, Equipment, and Logistics at the North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Sri Wahyuni Pancasilawati, said that the report was the data received by the Pusdalops PB North Sumatra.
“Based on the report, there were no casualties or displaced persons,” she said.
Yuyun, as she is affectionately known, said that various efforts to handle the disaster had been carried out by both local governments and a number of related stakeholders.
In addition, she said, the North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is also coordinating in handling the disaster in the affected areas.
“Currently, the situation is still being handled by the local government,” she said.
