North Sumatra Deputy Governor Emphasises Acceleration of Regional Strategic Projects
Medan - The Deputy Governor of North Sumatra, Surya, has emphasised the importance of accelerating the implementation of physical activities to support the Quick Wins Programme (PHTC) and Regional Strategic Projects (PSD). “I am requesting the acceleration of physical activities and a report on the current progress of our regional strategic projects,” Surya stated following an evaluation meeting at the North Sumatra Governor’s Office on Wednesday (3/6).
The Deputy Governor reminded all regional apparatus organisations (OPD) within the North Sumatra Provincial Government to speed up the realisation of targeted physical works. He also urged all agencies not to become complacent with the remaining effective time in the current year. “I ask that we do not become complacent, as our time is very pressing. We have only 142 working days left,” Surya asserted.
He noted that accelerating work programmes is crucial as the first semester of the fiscal year is nearing its end. Consequently, the completion of all physical works across all provincial agencies is expected to be driven forward before the next semester begins. “There are 139 PHTC programmes spread across all regencies and cities in North Sumatra, which must immediately provide tangible benefits to the people of North Sumatra,” Surya explained.
To this end, he requested that the eight primary departments responsible for the PHTC focus all energy and resources to ensure targets are met on time. “Specifically, the eight departments handling the PHTC must concentrate on completing their existing targets. We want this meeting to produce concrete ideas to accelerate the implementation of the PHTC in the field,” said Surya.
The Head of the Development Administration Bureau of the North Sumatra Provincial Secretariat, Faisal Arif Nasution, presented the progress of development programmes on both macro and micro levels. “Overall, there are 4,923 activities within the North Sumatra Provincial Government with a total budget allocation of approximately Rp3.3 trillion,” he said.
