North Korea, China Reach Important Consensus During Talks in Pyongyang

Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reached an important consensus regarding the further development of bilateral relations, according to a Xinhua news agency report citing Kim Jong Un. The consensus was reached after the two held talks during President Xi Jinping’s visit to Pyongyang. Xi arrived in North Korea on Monday for his first state visit to the country in seven years. Kim Jong Un also noted that the two sides had exchanged views on international and regional issues of common interest, according to the Monday report. Following the discussions, the two leaders and their spouses attended a welcome banquet at the Mokran House in Pyongyang.
