North Korea asserts harsh response to US hostile policies
Seoul (ANTARA) - North Korea will continue to respond with the harshest measures against the ongoing hostile policies of the US, according to a statement from the North Korean Foreign Ministry broadcast by KCNA on Monday.
“There is no change in our policy towards the US to respond to their unchanging hostile policies, with the harshest attitude until the end,” the statement read.
The Ministry added that US officials have reaffirmed their commitment to the full denuclearisation of Korea and their unchanged policy towards Pyongyang.
The statement also touched upon US comments regarding human rights in North Korea, the planned US-South Korea-Japan trilateral exercise titled “Freedom Edge”, and US intelligence activities.
“Thus, the Trump administration has fully reaffirmed its unchanging hostile policy, which arbitrarily violates the sovereignty, political system, and security interests of the DPRK under the guise of ‘denuclearisation’, ‘human rights’ slander campaigns, and military threats,” the ministry stated.
North Korea anticipates that US policy towards the republic will remain unchanged and intends to exercise its sovereign rights more firmly to protect its primary security interests.
