North Jakarta Police Return Stolen Motorcycle Directly to Victim's Home

The North Jakarta Metro Police have returned a stolen motorcycle directly to the victim’s home in the Kelapa Gading Barat area, North Jakarta, on Tuesday. “Today, we borrowed the motorcycle evidence to return it to the victim and delivered it directly to her house,” said North Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief of Criminal Investigation, Kompol Bima Sakti, in Jakarta on Tuesday. According to him, delivering the vehicle in person was a form of police empathy towards the victim who had suffered a misfortune. “This is a form of police service that we can provide to the community,” he said. He urged the victim to be careful and vigilant against various modes of motorcycle theft. “We hope this motorcycle can be used by the victim for her daily activities,” he said. The victim’s father, Samin, expressed his gratitude to the police officers for their seriousness in handling the case that befell his child. “I was surprised because the motorcycle was delivered directly. I hope this becomes a blessing and makes the police more loved by the community,” he said. He mentioned that the motorcycle was used daily by his child for work and can now be used again. “We are grateful,” he said. Meanwhile, the victim’s mother, Wasri, said the motorcycle was still under a credit purchase agreement with six months remaining. “We were worried when this motorcycle was stolen, and today, Alhamdulillah, it has been returned. It was even delivered to the house,” she said. She thanked the police for their dedication and hard work in uncovering this motorcycle theft case. “The motorcycle is in good condition and can be used. I am happy and touched,” she said. Previously, the North Jakarta Metro Police, together with Koja Sector Police, arrested a man with the initials FF who stole a young woman’s motorcycle in the Koja area using a social media acquaintance modus operandi. “The perpetrator carried out his action by pretending to approach the victim and getting acquainted via Facebook,” said Kompol Bima Sakti. After the introduction, the perpetrator arranged to meet the victim at a restaurant in the Koja area.
