North Jakarta Metropolitan Police apprehended eight individuals suspected of using illegal drugs during a heightened routine patrol (KRYD) and stationary raid early Monday (1 June).

Kompol M Syahroni, Head of Operations Subdivision at North Jakarta Metropolitan Police, stated: ‘We conducted patrols to maintain public order and security, ensuring a safe and stable environment.’

During field checks, officers identified eight males suspected of drug abuse. They were detained and transported to the police station for further investigation in line with standard procedures.

The patrol commenced at 00:00 WIB with 83 joint personnel, targeting high-risk locations including the North Jakarta Metropolitan Police Station, Ujung Pelumpang Koja, Kelapa Gading Boulevard Roundabout, Gaya Motor Road, Sunter Main Road, Tanjung Priok Cincin Lake, and back to the station.

In addition to mobile patrols, stationary raids were conducted at 00:30 WIB at Tanjung Priok Cincin Lake.

Overall, the area remained secure, orderly, and stable until 03:00 WIB.

The police urged the public to actively safeguard community safety and immediately report potential security issues via the 24-hour hotline 110. ‘We are ready to assist members of the public who require help,’ Syahroni stressed.
