North Jakarta Police Arrest Drug Trafficker in Kampung Bahari
Jakarta (ANTARA) - North Jakarta Police arrested a drug trafficker with the initials PFF in Kampung Bahari, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta.
“We seized a number of narcotics and supporting equipment,” said the head of the Narcotics Unit of North Jakarta Police, AKBP Ari Galang Saputro, in Jakarta on Monday.
According to him, the trafficker was apprehended following a raid in the area.
He said the suspect typically distributed methamphetamine within the Kampung Bahari area of Tanjung Priok District.
“Tens of grams of methamphetamine were seized,” Ari said.
He stated the seized evidence included dozens of ziplock bags containing methamphetamine totalling tens of grams ready for distribution, and a motorcycle suspected to have been used by the suspect for distributing the illicit goods.
“The suspect and all seized evidence are now at the North Jakarta Police headquarters for further questioning and investigation,” Ari said.
He added that the suspect was arrested on 18 May 2026. However, the Narcotics Unit of North Jakarta Police is still conducting deeper investigation into the case network.
“We are still working to uncover other suspects and the drug distribution network, including the source of the drugs and their dissemination,” Ari said.
