North Jakarta Mayor: First-Ever Bhayangkara Day Ceremony Held at Mayor's Office

North Jakarta Mayor Hendra Hidayat stated that the 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration ceremony held at the North Jakarta Mayor’s Office on Wednesday was the first time it had ever been conducted within the North Jakarta municipal government environment. “This is perhaps the first time in the history of the North Jakarta municipal government, or even other cities, that we have held a Bhayangkara Day ceremony,” said Hendra after leading the ceremony, which was attended by the North Jakarta Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimko). The organisation of this ceremony represents a form of good collaboration, coordination, and cooperation between the North Jakarta municipal government, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), community figures, neighbourhood and community unit heads (RT/RW), the city council, and other stakeholders. Hendra also wished the police force a happy 80th anniversary, particularly the North Jakarta Metro Resort Police. “May God guide and protect us in carrying out our daily duties. And as a policeman’s son, I am certainly proud of today’s police force,” he said. Meanwhile, North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Senior Commissioner Erick Frendriz stated that his ranks would continue to strive to serve and provide the best for the community, especially in the North Jakarta area. “We will continue to serve the community and give our best to the community, and we hope to be increasingly loved by the community,” he said. He explained that the ceremony at the North Jakarta Mayor’s Office was held on the initiative of Mayor Hendra Hidayat as a form of togetherness and strengthening synergy between agencies. “This ceremony is a joint event because it was indeed an initiative from the Mayor of North Jakarta for shared warmth. This also coincides with the anniversary of the Military Sealift Command (Kolinlamil), so we are all collaborating. It felt very warm earlier,” said Erick.
