North Jakarta Forkopimko urged to strengthen coordination
Jakarta — The North Jakarta City Government (Pemkot Jakut) has asked the Forum of City Leaders (Forkopimko) to strengthen coordination in maintaining regional stability throughout Ramadhan 1447 Hijriah.
“We emphasise the importance of synergy amongst all elements in maintaining regional stability,” said North Jakarta Mayor Hendra Hidayat during a meeting with the North Jakarta Forkopimko in Jakarta on Monday.
According to him, coordination and collaboration are the keys to maintaining regional stability.
He stressed that the government cannot work alone and requires the support of security personnel, community leaders, and all residents to keep North Jakarta safe, orderly, and conducive during Ramadhan.
“We urge all levels from city to district to continue improving communication and rapid response to any potential security threats,” he said.
Meanwhile, North Jakarta Metro Police Commander Senior Commissioner Erick Frendriz said that during this coordination meeting, representatives of the three pillars from each sub-district in North Jakarta reported the results of monitoring and evaluating the situation in their areas.
These included potential disturbances such as street fights, illegal racing, and community activities at night during Ramadhan.
“Prevention efforts being undertaken through to the situations and conditions in each area,” he said.
He asked all stakeholders to be vigilant about areas prone to street fights, illegal racing, and activities that could potentially disrupt security and residents’ comfort in performing their religious duties.
