North Jakarta Food Security Office Educates Entrepreneurs on Agricultural Product Diversification
The North Jakarta Food Security, Marine, and Agriculture Office (KPKP) has provided training on the diversification of processed agricultural products to 90 mentored entrepreneurs (Jakpreneur) at the RPTRA Sungai Bambu, Tanjung Priok District.
“This is a routine annual programme aimed at improving the skills of entrepreneurs in processing agricultural commodities into value-added products,” said the Head of the North Jakarta KPKP Sub-Department, Novy Christine Palit, in Jakarta on Thursday.
Participants were also provided with an understanding of food nutritional content, ensuring that the resulting products possess not only economic value but also serve as healthy food options for families.
The training is expected to enhance participants’ skills in processing agricultural yields while understanding their nutritional value, ultimately creating products that are popular with families and can be developed into scalable business ventures.
According to Novy, the training targets 90 Jakpreneur-mentored entrepreneurs from six districts in North Jakarta, implemented in three stages with materials tailored to each participant’s specific business type.
