The Education Sub-department for Region I of North Jakarta Administrative City has opened an Information and Consultation Service Post for the New Student Admission System (SPMB) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year, aiming to assist residents who wish to enrol their children in school. “This post serves as an integrated service centre to ensure all prospective students receive accurate information and assistance throughout the SPMB process,” said Rona Eveliner Sianipar, Head of the Education Sub-department for Region I of North Jakarta Administrative City, on Wednesday. According to her, the post provides consultation services regarding registration procedures and the requirements for each admission pathway. “This post also helps resolve various technical obstacles faced by the public,” she said. The SPMB post, which opened on Monday (15/6), has seen 201 residents utilise its services at SMKN 12 Jakarta as of midday. She noted that the high level of public enthusiasm demonstrates the importance of face-to-face services as a complement to the online registration system. The Education Sub-department for Region I of North Jakarta Administrative City has also partnered with the Population and Civil Registration Agency (Dukcapil) through a “one-stop service” concept. According to her, this collaboration facilitates the resolution of various civil administration issues that affect the registration process. Furthermore, Rona stated that her office has implemented a digital queuing system via barcode scanning to ensure orderly, fast, and comfortable service. The Education Sub-department for Region I of North Jakarta Administrative City also provides online consultation services through social media accounts, allowing the public to obtain information without having to visit the location. “These various services are part of our commitment to delivering an SPMB process that is objective, transparent, and accountable, while strengthening responsive and inclusive public service,” she said. One resident from Kampung Bahari, Tanjung Priok Sub-district, Abdul Ghofur, admitted he came to the SPMB post after experiencing difficulties registering his daughter through the Joint PPDB pathway. “Initially, my child’s KJP data did not appear. After consulting at the post, the problem was immediately resolved. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the explanations were easy to understand,” he said.
