North Jakarta Drug Dealer Arrested as Police Probe Distribution Network

JAKARTA — North Jakarta Police have arrested a methamphetamine dealer identified as PF (31), who operated in Kampung Bahari, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

AKBP Ari Galang Saputra, Head of the Narcotics Unit at North Jakarta Police, stated that the suspect was arrested and methamphetamine was seized.

‘During the arrest, officers secured multiple pieces of evidence including methamphetamine in dozens of plastic clips, totaling tens of grams, as well as other supporting equipment,’ Ari said in a written statement received by KOMPAS.com on Monday, 25 May 2026.

‘We also seized a sales ledger suspected to be linked to drug trafficking activities,’ he added.

Police are currently investigating the source of PF’s methamphetamine supply and the wider distribution network.

PF has been taken to the North Jakarta Police headquarters for further questioning.

‘Further investigation is ongoing. The suspect and all seized evidence have been transferred to the Narcotics Unit office of North Jakarta Police for additional examination and probe,’ he said.
