North Jakarta City Administration’s Sub-Department for Public Works, Spatial Planning and Land (Sudin CKTRP) sealed the operations of two padel courts in the Ancol and Penjaringan areas for lacking administrative permits in the form of a Building Approval (PBG).

‘This sealing is an administrative sanction against the operation of the two padel courts located in the Ancol and Penjaringan areas,’ said Herry Priyatno, Head of the North Jakarta Administrative City’s Sub-Department for Public Works, Spatial Planning and Land (Sudin CKTRP), in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Today, together with other Regional Working Units (UKPD) from the North Jakarta City Government, they carried out enforcement duties in the form of a cessation of activities or sealing.

He said the padel courts could reopen once the owners have arranged and obtained the Building Permit (PBG). ‘There is no deadline for the sealing. However, the faster the permits are processed, the sooner the padel courts will resume operation,’ he said.

Meanwhile, the Operational Manager of the padel courts in the Ancol area, Petrus Assa, admitted the error of not yet having the PBG. He said the permit is actually being processed, but its issuance has not yet been completed. ‘We are following the requirements; other permits such as IMB we already have,’ he said.
