The North Jakarta Administrative City Government held Praja Order Training activities in six sub-districts on Wednesday, as an effort to create order, comfort, and security in public spaces. “Praja Order Training is a preventive and persuasive effort in managing public order violations, especially in vulnerable points,” said the Head of North Jakarta’s Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), Budhy Novian, in Jakarta on Wednesday. During the activity, officers addressed several violations. As many as 72 street vendors (PKL) were advised not to trade in prohibited locations. “There were also 21 online motorcycle taxi drivers asked not to park their vehicles on the pavement,” he said. In the Praja Order Training, his side also imposed sanctions on five two-wheeled vehicles by removing their valve caps for violating parking rules. Subsequently, five ‘pak ogah’ were secured and handed over to the North Jakarta Social Sub-Department for further guidance. In the activity, his side deployed around 30 to 40 combined personnel from the three pillars, namely local government, TNI, and Police. The enforcement was carried out simultaneously in six sub-districts such as Jalan Kramat Raya in Koja Sub-District, Jalan Lodan Raya in Pademangan Sub-District, Jalan Tenggiri and Jalan Sunter-Kemayoran in Tanjung Priok Sub-District, Jalan Raya Cilincing in Cilincing Sub-District, and Jalan Boulevard Raya in Kelapa Gading Sub-District. He hopes that through this activity, the community can become more aware and disciplined in complying with rules to create an orderly and comfortable environment for everyone. “We invite the community to jointly maintain public order and utilise public facilities according to their purpose,” said Budhy.
