North Coast Route in Pasuruan Flooded Tonight, Traffic Paralysed
Flooding has submerged several road sections in Pasuruan, East Java, including the North Coast route commonly used by those travelling home for Eid. As a result, the route is paralysed as vehicles cannot pass through. According to detikjatim on Wednesday (25/3/2026), flooding has inundated the North Coast route in Beji, which connects the Gempol-Bangil areas. This route is closed due to deep water accumulation. Both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles cannot cross, causing long queues. This is especially problematic entering H+3 of the Lebaran homecoming, when vehicle volume has significantly increased. Several Satlantas Polres Pasuruan personnel are on standby at the location to manage traffic flow. Many two-wheeled vehicle riders have had their motorbikes stall after recklessly trying to ford the flood. Besides the Beji North Coast route, Jalan Raya Cangkringmalang in Beji sub-district is also flooded. The main Pandaan-Malang road in Sukorejo and the Pasuruan-Malang road in front of Wonorejo market are inundated. Flooding has also submerged the North Coast route on Jalan Ir Juanda in Pasuruan City. As a result, the road is closed and vehicles are diverted to the Southern Ring Road or tollway. “Diversions began at 21:30 and it remains closed at present,” said Yulianto, Head of UPT P3 LLAJ Dishub Jatim.
