The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has conducted a sting operation (OTT) against the Regent of North Bolaang Mongondow (Bolmut), Sirajudin Lasena. According to the KPK, the operation is related to road infrastructure development projects.

“This case is alleged to involve receipts made by state officials within the North Bolaang Mongondow Regency administration,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists on Monday (21/09/2026).

Budi explained that one of the projects involves road infrastructure development carried out by the Department of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) of the North Bolaang Mongondow Regency Government.

He added that during the undercover operation, investigators arrested a total of 14 people across Jakarta, North Sulawesi, and Gorontalo. In addition to Sirajudin, investigators also apprehended the head of the department along with private sector representatives.

“The parties detained include the regent, the head of the department, other civil servants, and private parties. The projects involved include road infrastructure development within the PUPR Department,” he said.

Furthermore, Budi stated that during the operation, the KPK also seized cash evidence with a total value reaching hundreds of millions of rupiah.
