North Aceh submits proposal for Phase II stimulus aid

Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - The North Aceh Regency Government has submitted a proposal for Phase II stimulus aid for 4,043 victims of flash floods and landslides in the regency to the Ministry of Social Affairs.

“North Aceh Regent has proposed Phase II stimulus aid through the Regent’s Decree for 4,043 aid recipients,” said North Aceh Government Spokesperson Muntasir Ramli when contacted from Banda Aceh on Thursday.

He explained that the proposed stimulus aid for disaster survivors in North Aceh Regency consists of life guarantees, stimulus for damaged houses, household furnishing assistance, and economic strengthening.

“The stimulus aid proposal letter for Phase II has been sent to Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf for immediate processing and disbursement,” he said.

The disbursed aid also includes household furnishing assistance of Rp3 million per family head and economic strengthening of Rp5 million per family head.

In more detail, he mentioned that the recipients of house stimulus aid consist of 1,492 units with minor damage, 1,685 units with moderate damage, and 866 units with severe damage.

He stated that the flash floods that struck the regency impacted 696 villages spread across 25 sub-districts.
