Non-Subsidised Fuel Prices in Papua Reduced

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku has lowered the price of non-subsidised fuels in Papua, effective 1 July 2026, in response to global oil price developments and the prevailing pricing mechanism. Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku, Ispiani Abbas, stated on Wednesday, 2 July 2026, that the price adjustment applies across all provinces in the Papua region. Several non-subsidised fuel products have seen price reductions, including Pertamax Turbo, which fell by Rp1,450 per litre from Rp21,200 to Rp19,750. Pertamina Dex dropped by Rp3,650 per litre from Rp25,350 to Rp21,650, while Dexlite decreased by Rp3,350 per litre from Rp23,500 to Rp20,150. The policy is the result of a periodic evaluation by Pertamina that considers global oil market dynamics, fiscal aspects, and public purchasing power. The new prices apply throughout Papua with a Vehicle Fuel Tax rate of 7.5 percent. The company expressed hope that the price adjustment would benefit the public through more competitive pricing without compromising the quality of the fuel products marketed. Pertamina also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the availability of supply and maintaining fuel quality to meet public needs and support transportation and economic activities in Papua.
