Non-Subsidised Fuel Prices in Papua Reduced

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku has lowered the prices of non-subsidised fuel in the Papua region starting from 1 July 2026, in response to global oil price developments and applicable pricing mechanisms.

Ispiani Abbas, Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku, stated in Jayapura on Wednesday, 2 July 2026, that the price adjustments apply to all provinces within the Papua region.

“Several non-subsidised fuel products have experienced price decreases, including Pertamax Turbo, which dropped from Rp21,200 per litre to Rp19,750 per litre, a reduction of Rp1,450 per litre,” she said.

Furthermore, the price of Pertamina Dex decreased from Rp25,350 per litre to Rp2_1,650 per litre, a reduction of Rp3,650 per litre, while Dexlite fell from Rp23,500 per litre to Rp20,150 per litre, a decrease of Rp3,350 per litre.

“This policy is the result of Pertamina’s periodic evaluation, which considers global oil market dynamics, fiscal aspects, and public purchasing power,” she added.

She explained that the new prices are applicable throughout the Papua region, with the Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB) set at 7.5 per cent.

“We hope this price adjustment can benefit the community through more competitive pricing without compromising the quality of the fuel products being marketed,” she said.

She added that the company will continue to ensure that the non-subsidised fuel price adjustments are implemented across all provinces in the Papua region with a PBBKB rate of 7.5 per cent.

“With this adjustment, Pertamina is also committed to maintaining supply availability and fuel quality to meet the needs of the community and support transportation activities and the economy in Papua,” she concluded.
