REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Jakarta DPRD held a plenary session on the proposal to replace the council chairman on Thursday (30/4/2026). In the meeting, 83 out of a total of 106 council members present agreed to propose Suhud Alynudin to replace Khoirudin as the DKI chairman.

Suhud expressed his gratitude to the DPRD leadership, council members, and the Governor of DKI who attended the plenary session. According to him, thanks to the support from all parties, the process of proposing the replacement of the DPRD leadership ran smoothly without obstacles.

“Alhamdulillah, we have successfully carried out this activity and today’s plenary session. And also to the fellow members who attended, so that this process runs smoothly without any obstacles,” said Suhud at the DPRD DKI Building, Jalan Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, on Thursday.

As a candidate for the DKI DPRD chairman, the Chairman of the PKS Jakarta Regional Leadership Council (DPW) stated that he would strive to meet the expectations of the council members as well as the people of Jakarta. He mentioned that accelerating development would be one of the main focuses if he officially becomes the DKI DPRD chairman.

“I state that I will strive to meet all expectations from my colleagues and also the people of DKI Jakarta to be able to encourage and accelerate Jakarta’s development together with Mr Governor,” said Suhud.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo congratulated Suhud on his determination in the DPRD plenary session. However, he emphasised that the administrative process is still awaiting a decision from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).

“I want to congratulate and appreciate Mr Suhud who has been officially designated as a candidate, because there has been no decision from the Ministry of Home Affairs yet, although it has been decided in the DPRD plenary session earlier as the DPRD Chairman,” said Pramono.
