Nokia touts new handset

JAKARTA (JP): Finland's Nokia Mobile Phones Indonesia launched on Wednesday its first product for Indonesian the market this year, the Nokia 8850.

The company's general manager, Alexander Lambeek, said the stylishly designed handset was dedicated to high-end segment users who value style and like to show they are fashionable.

A dual band GSM 900/1800 phone, Nokia 8850 offers features such as voice dialing and picture messaging and is equipped with an internal antenna, he said.

He said the new handset would be available in stores on Monday at a minimum price of Rp 7 million (US$1,000). (cst)
