Nokia opens 16th retail outlet

JAKARTA (JP): Nokia Mobile Phones Indonesia opened its 16th retail outlet at Mal Taman Anggrek on Thursday to further increase service to its mobile phone users, Nokia's general manager for Indonesia Shaun Colligan said.

The Nokia Professional Center (NPC) will be managed by one of Nokia's distributors PT Trikomsel Citrawahana, and designed as a one-stop shop where customers could buy Nokia products as well as receive after sales service, he said.

Trikomsel president Sugiono Wiyono said one of the main features of the Mal Taman Anggrek NPC was its music corner for customers to enjoy music while waiting for their phones to be serviced.

"We will also lend our phones to customers whose phones need major servicing so they won't need to wait at the store but can continue shopping," he said.

With the opening of the new outlet, Nokia has 16 NPCs across Indonesia, eight are located in Jakarta and the rest in Bandung, Surabaya, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Medan, Bali, Makassar, and Batam. (tnt)
