Nokia launches mobile phone

JAKARTA (JP): Finland's telecommunications equipment maker Nokia launched here yesterday a new Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) mobile phone, the 6110, said to be the first which can adapt to users' lives.

Users are able to instruct the phones about which people they want to get through in different daily situations. For easy identification, the handset also allow users to set different ringing tones to identify certain callers stored in the memory.

Nokia 6110s also offer some games to kill time or entertain the kids.

Nokia's new product is 28 millimeters deep, 47 millimeters wide and 130 millimeters long. It weighs about 137 grams to 173 grams depending on the battery type. Standby time ranges from 60 to 450 hours while talk time is between three and eight hours, also depending on battery type.

Nokia, one of the makers of popular mobile phones in Indonesia along with Motorola, Ericsson and Siemens, previously offered the 3810, the 8110 and the Communicator 9000. (icn)
