Nokia expands Thai network
HELSINKI (AFP): Finnish telecommunications group Nokia has
signed a framework agreement with Thailand's Total Access
Communications Public Company Ltd to expand its cellular network,
Nokia said on Friday.
According to the contract, valued at some US$43 million, Nokia
will supply equipment to expand TAC's mobile switching system,
base stations and base station controllers as well as
implementation of the system and maintenance.
Deliveries are already underway, Nokia said.
