Noel Embraces and Kisses Daughter After Hearing: She Prays for Me Continuously

Noel was examined as the defendant in a hearing held at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Thursday (7/5/2026). Before the hearing concluded, the judge asked the public prosecutor to allow Noel to meet his daughter outside of custody to safeguard the child’s psychology and mental state.

“Before closing, since the defendant’s child who is still in school was present earlier, allow them to meet briefly, not in custody, Public Prosecutor. We must also protect the defendant’s child’s psychology and mental health. As this is in the court setting, the panel has the authority to ensure that,” stated the presiding judge Nur Sari Baktiana.

After the hearing, Noel hugged and kissed his daughter, who is still in primary school. Noel said that his daughter is the one who always prays for him.

“This is what keeps me motivated,” said Noel.

“She prays for me continuously. This is my child who always supports me with prayers and her writings. Hopefully, when she grows up, she can follow in her father’s footsteps to become a fighter, a warrior,” he continued.

Previously, Noel’s daughter attended the trial in the extortion case regarding the processing of K3 certificates from the Ministry of Manpower. The judge asked Noel’s daughter not to be in the courtroom because she is still a minor.

Initially, the prosecutor was questioning Noel, who was being examined as the defendant in this case. The presiding judge Nur Sari Baktiana then interrupted the prosecutor’s questions upon seeing Noel’s daughter enter the courtroom in her school uniform. The judge stated that children are not allowed in the courtroom.

“Public Prosecutor, hold on, I’ll interrupt briefly. There’s a visitor still in school uniform. How old? Mr Immanuel’s daughter?” asked the judge.

“My child,” answered Noel.

The judge explained that children are not allowed in the courtroom to protect their mental health and psychology. Noel then asked his daughter to leave the courtroom.

“If children aren’t allowed in the courtroom,” said the judge.

“Darling, go out,” said Noel.

Noel’s daughter then left the courtroom. The prosecutor continued questioning Noel.

“You can meet your dad after the hearing. We’ll protect her psychology and mental state from seeing the trial,” said the judge.

“Thank you, Your Honour,” replied Noel.
