The Banjarbaru City Government in South Kalimantan Province has decided not to implement work from anywhere (WFA) or work from home (WFH) policies after the Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah holiday. A surprise inspection of employee performance in the South Kalimantan Provincial Government was led by the Provincial Secretary, M Syarifudin.

Banjarbaru Mayor Erna Lisa Halaby stressed that the Idul Fitri 1447 H holiday and leave have concluded.

“All Civil Servants (ASN) in the Banjarbaru City Government must have returned to work today,” she asserted while leading a joint roll call of Regional Apparatus Units under the Banjarbaru City Government at Dr Murdjani Field in Banjarbaru City on Wednesday (25/3).

In her directives, Erna Lisa Halaby urged all employees, both ASN and non-ASN, to enhance public service performance to the community, discipline, integrity, and work ethic. The Banjarbaru City Government confirmed that it will not implement WFH or WFA systems post-holiday and collective leave.

“All employees are required to attend physically,” she stated.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Personnel and Human Resources Education Agency (BKPSDM) of Banjarbaru City, Slamet Riyadi, said that after Lebaran, some employees are still on leave, including those performing Umrah pilgrimage, but the number is not significant. He assured that all public services, such as those from the regional government, hospitals, and community health centres, are operating normally.

On the other hand, the South Kalimantan Provincial Secretary, M Syarifudin, led a surprise inspection of employee performance in several Regional Work Units under the Provincial Government in Banjarbaru. The South Kalimantan Provincial Government also requires all employees, both ASN and contract workers, to return to work after the Lebaran holiday.
