No tap water

Many complaints have been lodged with water company Palyja
Jaya, particularly by residents of Taman Palem Lestari housing
complex in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, where there has been no tap
water since March 28, 2001. Unfortunately, Palyja Jaya has yet to
respond to these complaints.

In the meantime, the residents have had to buy drinking water
at a price higher that the rate set by PAM.

We urge Palyja Jaya to immediately solve this problem, which
the residents have experienced a number of times.
