No Odd-Even Licence Plate Scheme in Jakarta During Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr, Mark These Dates

Jakarta’s Department of Transportation has announced that the odd-even vehicle restriction scheme will not be implemented across various roads in Jakarta during the public holidays and joint leave period for Nyepi (Saka New Year 1948) and Eid al-Fitr 1447, specifically from 18 to 24 March 2026.

The decision was made pursuant to Jakarta Governor Regulation No. 88 of 2019, Article 3, Paragraph (3), which stipulates that the odd-even traffic restriction system does not apply on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays as established by presidential decree.

Although the odd-even vehicle restriction system will be suspended during this period, the public is strongly advised to maintain safety while driving. This measure is intended to ensure smooth traffic flow and guarantee the safety of journeys during the Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr 2026 holidays across Jakarta.
