No Need to Worry! Previously Inactive PBI JKN Participants Will Continue to Be Served During Eid Exodus 2026
BPJS Kesehatan has confirmed that all Penerima Bantuan Iuran (PBI) Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN) participants who were previously inactive will continue to be served during the 2026 Eid exodus period.
“For inactive PBI participants, those requiring catastrophic services such as dialysis will continue to be served throughout their lives, and for the ground check involving 11 million participants currently underway, we are waiting for data from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS),” said BPJS Kesehatan Chief Executive Officer Prihati Pujowaskito during a press conference on preparations for the 2026 Eid exodus in Jakarta on Monday.
Pujowaskito explained that BPJS Kesehatan is currently awaiting data from BPS and Kemensos regarding inactive PBI participants to determine which segment they should be transferred to. “Once we receive a list for segment transfers or if they are reactivated by Kemensos, we will provide services. We are waiting for a letter from Kemensos to determine which segment they will move to,” he said.
Pujowaskito stressed that JKN service conveniences must continue to be experienced by the community at any time and anywhere across Indonesia. To ensure people can access administrative services in person, BPJS Kesehatan will open branch offices on 18, 20, 23, and 24 March 2026 from 08.00 to 13.30 local time.
“The Eid exodus period must not become a barrier for participants to obtain healthcare services. BPJS Kesehatan ensures that JKN Programme services remain easily accessible, so that people can travel with peace of mind, knowing their health protection is guaranteed,” he said.
As part of efforts to provide service support during the exodus period, BPJS Kesehatan is also establishing Mudik (Exodus) service posts at several strategic locations to provide information, consultation, and service assistance for JKN Programme participants in need during their journey.
BPJS Kesehatan Mudik posts will operate from 13-26 March 2026 at Merak Port, Banten; Pulo Gebang Terminal, East Jakarta; Cipularang Toll Road 88A Rest Area in Purwakarta, Central Java; Cipali Toll Road 166A Rest Area in Majalengka, West Java; Ungaran Toll Road 429A Rest Area in Semarang, Central Java; Masaran Toll Road 519A Rest Area in Sragen, Central Java; Purabaya Terminal in Sidoarjo, East Java; and Soekarno-Hatta Port in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
