Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Perum BULOG has confirmed that the distribution of the people’s cooking oil “Minyakita” continues to run sustainably as part of efforts to maintain the stability of national food supplies and prices. BULOG has stressed that the company continues to manage stocks and distribution optimally in accordance with the government’s assignment. Director of Operations of Perum BULOG, Andi Afdal, in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday (30/04), reaffirmed that as a distribution operator, BULOG consistently ensures that the distribution of Minyakita continues to reach the public through various distribution channels. “We continue to carry out the distribution of Minyakita in a measured and sustainable manner. BULOG is also continuing to strengthen coordination with all stakeholders to ensure the smooth supply in various regions, especially in areas with distribution challenges such as in Eastern Indonesia,” said Andi Afdal. Furthermore, Andi Afdal stated that the distribution of Minyakita by BULOG is carried out through various channels and networks. This step is taken to maintain price affordability and ensure that the public continues to have access to subsidised cooking oil. BULOG is also continuing to promote the strengthening of a more efficient and targeted distribution system as well as increasing the capacity of oil storage warehouses. These efforts aim to improve public access, maintain price stability in accordance with regulations, and ensure more even distribution. As part of the national food ecosystem, BULOG is committed to continuing to maintain the stability of supplies and prices, including people’s cooking oil commodities. “BULOG will continue to be present in carrying out the government’s mandate in ensuring the availability and affordability of food for the public,” Andi Afdal concluded.
