'No irregularities in Ciracas project'

JAKARTA: The inspector general for the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration, M. Amrinal, said his team had found no irregularities in a development project in Ciracas, East Jakarta.

"According to the results of an internal audit conducted early in April, the ongoing development of a special transit lounge for returning overseas Indonesian workers is being conducted in accordance with all procedures, and we found no markups in the Rp 15-billion (US$1.8-million) project," he said during a press conference.

The internal audit was conducted in response to allegations that the project's value had been marked up to more than Rp 20 billion from Rp 13.9 billion. --JP
