No holiday for postal workers

BANDUNG: PT Pos Indonesia, the state-owned post office
company, has canceled all leave of absence for its employees in
the run-up to the Idul Fitri holiday.

Pos Indonesia spokesman Yusuf Prihatna told Antara that the
company is making every effort to deliver the millions of Idul
Fitri cards being sent to mark the festivities.

The company has supplied all post offices with more stamps,
and every employee has been ordered to check that their equipment
is in order. "We're all geared up for the growing demand of our
services," he said. (emb)
