No Fuss Switching Apps: Buying Subsidised Houses Now Possible via Tapera Mobile
JAKARTA - The application for purchasing subsidised housing through the Low-Income Facility (MBR) programme is now easier to carry out. This follows the migration of the Subsidised Housing Mortgage Information System (SiKasep) and Developer Collection Information System (Sikumbang) services to Tapera Mobile. Commissioner of the People’s Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera), Heru Pudyo Nugroho, stated that MBR individuals interested in buying subsidised houses no longer need to switch between applications when making submissions. The migration of these services officially takes effect from 13 April 2026. Submitting a KPR through Tapera Mobile begins with downloading the app from the Google Play Store or App Store. Prospective debtors then enter their Population Registration Number (NIK) and agree to the applicable terms and conditions to create an account. Next, users are required to verify their identity with a selfie alongside their ID card and capture an image of the ID card. Data from the ID card will automatically populate in the system and needs to be validated before saving. After successful registration, prospective debtors can search for houses using the available search feature. Once a house is selected, users can proceed with the KPR application, subsidy checking, bank selection, and scheduling a meeting. “After meeting with the bank’s sales team, prospective debtors can independently monitor the KPR application process. If still confused about the flow, they can access information related to Tapera Mobile on the tapera.go.id website,” Heru explained. According to Heru, MBR individuals with certain income levels according to zones can obtain their first home through FLPP KPR or Tapera Fund financing, in accordance with applicable regulations. As the Government Investment Operator (OIP), BP Tapera has been channelling FLPP funds since 2022. “Currently, only 14.29 percent of the 350,000-unit target has been absorbed,” Heru said.
