Students at SMP 3 Satu Atap (Satap) Lambitu in Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), took their academic ability test (TKA) in a corn field. The reason was the lack of electricity supply and internet network at the school.

“On the first day of the TKA implementation, students took the exam outside the classroom,” said teacher at SMP 3 Satap Lambitu, Mutmainah, to detikBali on Monday (6/4/2026).

Mutmainah revealed that there were eight students taking the TKA exam at SMP 3 Satap Lambitu. The exam took place in a pavilion in the corn field, which is also a place where locals dry their corn in Desa Kaboro, Lambitu Subdistrict.

“The location is not far from the school,” she added.

According to Mutmainah, the reason students took the TKA exam outside the school area was due to the absence of electricity at the school. This condition also resulted in no internet network.

“There is no electricity supply. There is also no internet network,” she explained.

Another teacher at SMP 3 Satap Lambitu, Andy Faisal, hopes that the government will quickly find a solution so that it does not disrupt teaching and learning activities (KBM). Especially in the online learning process.

“Students often complain about the lack of network and internet. We hope it will be fixed soon by the government,” he said.

According to him, SMP 3 Satap Lambitu is located in Desa Kaboro. That village is one of the remote villages in Lambitu Subdistrict, Bima Regency. Besides students and teachers, the general public also has difficulty accessing the internet due to the lack of network.

“There is no internet network because it is a remote village,” he emphasised.
