No compromise on MBG quality standards. All SPPGs must meet established requirements to ensure services are safe, healthy, and of high quality for the public.

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) continues to suspend 1,152 Nutrition Service Units (SPPGs) to enforce strict adherence to Free Nutrition Program (MBG) standards, with no room for compromise.

During the evaluation and tightening of operational standards, BGN has temporarily suspended operations of 4,581 SPPGs since the start of 2025 to improve quality and align with service standards.

BGN Chief Dadan Hindayana stated on Monday in Jakarta that the temporary suspension of SPPG operations is part of a comprehensive effort to maintain the national quality of the MBG program.

Of the 4,581 temporarily suspended SPPGs, 3,429 have completed improvements and resumed operations with enhanced service quality, while 1,152 are still undergoing operational adjustments.

Dadan noted that warning letters (SP) were issued to some SPPGs due to non-compliant infrastructure, lack of wastewater treatment plants (IPAL), and missing Hygiene and Sanitation Certificates (SLHS).

Dadan also stressed that the SPPGs still undergoing improvements are key partners that contributed significantly during the MBG program’s initial phase. Therefore, the government is providing them space and opportunity to continue contributing after meeting the new quality standards.

“We value the contributions of SPPG partners since the program began. Therefore, mentoring and improvement processes are in place to ensure they can resume operations with better service quality in line with national standards,” said BGN Chief Dadan Hindayana.
