No Car Free Day in Bogor Regency, Replaced with Ramadhan Festival
BOGOR — Bogor Regency Government has once again suspended the Car Free Day (CFD) activity in the Cibinong area, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Sunday (8 March 2026).
During this period there will be no CFD activities, which are normally held every weekend on Jalan Tegar Beriman from 06:00 to 09:00 WIB.
Typically, when CFD takes place, the road section is closed to motorised vehicles and utilised by residents for sports, family recreation, and community activities.
According to the @carfreedaycibinong Instagram account, Bogor Regency Government has redirected community activities to a special agenda titled Ramadhan Fest 2026, centred in the Tegar Beriman area, specifically in front of the lobby of Gedung Tegar Beriman, Bogor Regency.
The event features various activities with religious themes, entertainment, and food bazaars that become a gathering point for residents during the month of Ramadhan.
Originally, Bogor Ramadhan Fest 2026 was scheduled to run until early March. However, the event has been extended through mid-March 2026.
Information from the Bogor Regency Trade and Industry Office shows street trader activities in the Tegar Beriman area scheduled for 12-18 March 2026 as part of the Ramadhan Fest programme.
With this agenda in place, CFD activities have been temporarily suspended to allow the Tegar Beriman area to be focused as the location for the Ramadhan event.
For comparison, when CFD takes place, traffic management is typically implemented in the Cibinong area. Vehicles from the direction of Bojonggede heading to Jakarta are diverted through Cikaret, whilst traffic from Jalan Raya Jakarta-Bogor heading to Bojonggede is directed through Cikaret or Karadenan.
Meanwhile, vehicles from the Pakansari area wishing to head to Jalan Raya Jakarta-Bogor are typically diverted through the Kandang Roda route.
