No Cabinet reshuffle seen: Hamzah

JAKARTA: Vice President Hamzah Haz said on Friday he had not
heard that President Megawati Soekarnoputri planned to reshuffle
the Cabinet.

"I don't know. There is no reshuffle," he said after
presenting cattle for sacrifice for the Islamic Day of Sacrifice,
at the office of his political party, the United Development
Party (PPP) in Jakarta.

Rumors had it that transportation minister Agum Gumelar would
exchange positions with defense minister Matori Abdul Djalil.

The rumors first were heard in the office of the
transportation ministry. -- Antara
