No big trucks
No big trucks during peak hours
From Suara Karya
One of the main causes of traffic congestion on toll roads, particularly the Jakarta-Bekasi-Cikampek section is the large trucks and other industrial vehicles and container trucks during rush hour, which clog up the road and cause massive traffic jams.
To overcome this problem, the agencies concerned with the transport policy such as the traffic police, toll road management company Jasa Marga and the highway transport office should con duct coordination and cooperation to ensure that these trucks do not enter the road at peak times (as is the case in almost every country in the world.)
These agencies can issue a rule requiring trucks to use toll roads only after 10 a.m. or after 9 p.m. except on holidays, whereas private and public transport vehicles are only allowed during peak hours.
This regulation can of course create controversy and be considered discriminatory. However, for the sake of public inter ests and smooth traffic, the road use restriction during peak hours may help solve the problem.
