NLD to hold meeting with Suu Kyi
MYANMAR: Top members of Myanmar's opposition National League for
Democracy (NLD) were due to meet on Tuesday with their detained
leader Aung San Suu Kyi for the third time in a week to discuss
this month's constitutional convention, NLD sources said.
Seven of the nine members of the NLD's decision-making Central
Executive Committee had gathered at the party's Yangon
headquarters before a visit to the home of the democracy icon, a
party source said.
"They will soon all go to her house," an NLD member told AFP,
adding that one of the committee members, NLD vice-chairman Tin
Oo, was to be brought from house arrest to attend the talks. -- AFP
