Nissan Relies on e-Power to Meet the Needs of Efficient Cars

To meet the demand for highly efficient, environmentally friendly cars that are easy to use for daily mobility, Nissan is offering its e-Power technology as part of its electrification strategy. Speaking about the e-Power technology developed by Nissan, it is not a new concept. However, it is important to note that this technology operates differently from conventional hybrid cars. e-Power delivers a fully electric motor-driven driving experience, while the petrol engine functions as a generator to produce electricity. Bima Aristantyo, Head of Sales and Product at Nissan Motor Distributor Indonesia (NMDI), stated that this combination makes e-Power a bridge to electrification that is easily adopted by Indonesian consumers. “We are very optimistic that e-Power technology is a solution to the current mobility needs of society, supporting the transition to future electrification,” he said in an official statement on Friday (10/4/2026). In Indonesia, this technology is introduced through several models. One of them is the Nissan Kicks e-Power, which arrives as a compact SUV with the instant responsiveness characteristic of electric motors. The smooth movement and responsive acceleration provide comfort when agility is needed to navigate dynamic urban traffic. Fuel efficiency also adds value for everyday use. The evolution of e-Power continues with the X-Trail e-POWER with e-4ORCE. In this model, Nissan delivers a smooth driving experience with more precise control through an electric all-wheel drive system.
