Nippon forms joint venture

JAKARTA (JP): Nippon Express, a major Japanese freight forwarding company and logistics provider, and its local partner PT Supra Raga Transport have formed a joint venture to boost its presence in the Indonesian market.

The Japanese company said on Tuesday the joint venture PT Nippon Express Indonesia, which will focus on the air cargo transportation business, would start operation next month.

The joint venture will be equally owned by the two companies, which have been engaged in an agency cooperation for more than 11 years.

Nippon Express Indonesia will be managed by Nobuya Nakada as president and A. Muad Suleman as vice president.
