Nine Thais drown after boat capsizes

BANGKOK (Reuters): Nine people drowned and seven were missing
after a boat taking passengers on a cruise at a dam in southern
Thailand capsized in high winds, Thai radio reported on Sunday.

The boat, carrying mostly officials from Thailand's irrigation
department, sank on Saturday evening at the Pran Buri dam in
Prachuap Khiri Khan province.

Four other boat passengers were rescued and search teams were
still looking for survivors, Thai radio said.
