Nine Free Toll Road Sections for Eid Holiday 2026: Complete List of Routes and Vehicle Requirements

The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has officially announced a list of nine functional toll road sections that the public can use without charge during the Eid 2026 holiday period for both outbound and return travel.

Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo explained that the operation of these functional toll road sections represents a strategic government measure to support smooth vehicle flow at congestion-prone points during the peak season.

“There are approximately nine functional sections being prepared, including functional rest areas. This is being done to improve comfort and facilitate public travel,” Dody stated as reported by Antara (2/3).

According to data from the Road Toll Regulatory Agency (BPJT), the nine toll road sections will be opened for free use without charge.

The government has emphasised that use of these functional toll roads is subject to special regulations for driver safety. Generally, these lanes are restricted to Class I non-bus vehicles (private/small cars). Additionally, vehicle speeds are typically limited to a maximum of 40-60 km/h because road conditions are not yet fully developed like operational toll roads.

Minister Dody also noted that in addition to free tolls, the government has prepared a policy offering a 30% toll discount that will commence nine days before Eid 2026 for toll sections already in full operation.

Motorists are advised to always follow the directions of field officers and ensure their electronic toll cards have sufficient balance when entering other integrated toll sections.
