Nine Additional Train Services from Gambir Station Available Throughout July 2026
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Region (Daop) 1 Jakarta is offering nine additional train services from Gambir Station throughout July 2026 to provide passengers with more departure times and routes.
“The departure times are varied, ranging from morning to evening,” said Franoto Wibowo, Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, in a statement issued in Jakarta on Thursday.
He said the additional train services from Gambir Station serve seven destinations: Bandung, Cirebon, Cilacap, Yogyakarta, Solo Balapan, Surabaya Pasar Turi, and Jember.
The nine additional services available throughout July 2026 are the Argo Anjasmoro on the Gambir-Surabaya Pasar Turi route departing at 23.35 WIB, and the Parahyangan Fakultatif on the Gambir-Bandung route departing at 13.40 WIB.
In addition, there are two Purwojaya services on the Gambir-Cilacap route departing at 07.00 WIB and 13.25 WIB, as well as the Batavia on the Gambir-Solo Balapan route departing at 09.35 WIB.
Also available are the additional Gambir-Yogyakarta train with departure options at 05.15 WIB and 17.15 WIB on specified operating dates, the Pandalungan 2 on the Gambir-Jember route departing at 09.25 WIB, and the Cirebon Fakultatif on the Gambir-Cirebon route departing at 23.55 WIB.
Based on first-half 2026 passenger volume data covering January to June, Daop 1 Jakarta recorded 10.26 million passenger movements across the Daop 1 Jakarta area. At Gambir Station alone, total passenger movements in the first half of 2026 exceeded 3.22 million.
In June 2026, departures from Gambir Station reached 311,331 passengers, while arrivals totalled 313,574 passengers.
Franoto urged prospective passengers to plan their journeys in advance and book tickets through the Access by KAI application, KAI’s official website, or other official sales channels. Seat availability may change according to customer booking levels.
“We also remind customers to always double-check their tickets before departure, especially the travel date, train number, departure time, and departure station. Arrive at the station early so the boarding process can be carried out comfortably and the journey runs smoothly,” Franoto advised.
