Nindya Karya Adopts Centralised Procurement System Amid Rising Material Prices

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Director of PT Nindya Karya (Persero), Firmansyah, has affirmed the state-owned construction company’s commitment to ensuring that all infrastructure projects meet the same quality standards, internalised down to subcontractor workers at the furthest project sites.

Nindya Karya has established work quality standards that must be implemented, reinforced by the integration of digital technology and strengthened digital-based monitoring and evaluation. The company is also continuously making improvements, including enhancing the capacity and capability of its human resources.

Amid global economic and political uncertainty, the construction sector is also facing the challenge of rising material prices. In response, Nindya Karya is implementing a supply chain management (SCM) system so that all procurement processes are centralised and can be managed and controlled.

Furthermore, Nindya Karya is strengthening procurement planning through partnerships with business partners and establishing umbrella contracts for major materials, which is expected to address the issue of material price volatility.
