Nightspots to be closed for Ramadhan

KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: The Baubau mayoralty administration ordered on Saturday that nightspots in the city close during the Muslim holy month of Ramadhan.

The official decree will be issued immediately, Baubau Mayor Amirul Tamin said.

If a nightspot violates the decree, the administration will first issue a warning, he said.

"But the administration will not hesitate to revoke their operating permits should they be stubborn and ignore our warning," he said.

Ramadhan will start at the end of October. -- Antara
