Night-time crackdown in Lhokseumawe: Police seize motorcycles with illegal exhausts

Rapid response personnel from the Situation of Order, Safety, and People’s Security (STAR) Team of the Lhokseumawe Police Station secured motorcycles with illegal, noisy exhausts on the streets of central Lhokseumawe, Aceh, on Monday night (21/09/2026).

The crackdown, conducted using an active police patrol method (hunting system), was carried out to minimise disturbances caused by the noise of non-standard exhausts that fail to meet regulations, thereby disrupting public order and community comfort.

Police personnel from the STAR Team intercepted motorcyclists using these loud exhausts throughout the city centre. The operation resulted in the seizure of dozens of motorcycles equipped with non-standard exhausts to ensure the peace and tranquillity of the local residents.
