In partnership with Hasanuddin University, the program builds on 2024–2025 initiatives that supported 20 students from Morowali, the company said in a statement Tuesday.

The 2026 intake will award scholarships to 10 high-achieving students from high schools in Hengjaya Mineralindo and the Sampala Project areas.

Recipients can enroll in 15 undergraduate programs at UNHAS, including mining, environmental and metallurgical engineering, aligned with regional development priorities and the company’s sustainability goals.

Sustainability head Muchtazar said consistent investment in education is key to long-term growth.

“This program is about shaping Morowali’s future leaders,” he said, noting 20 students have been supported since 2024 and the initiative will continue in 2026.

He added the scholarship is fully funded, with no fees required at any stage.

The company encouraged Morowali students, especially those near Hengjaya Mineralindo, to apply and contribute to regional development.

“We see this as a long-term effort to build a generation that drives sustainable growth,” Muchtazar said.

UNHAS Vice Rector Muhammad Ruslin welcomed the program’s continuation and its impact on expanding access to higher education.

He said the partnership equips students with skills relevant to regional and global challenges.

All selection stages will be conducted independently by UNHAS under standard admissions procedures to ensure transparency and merit-based outcomes.

The 2026 schedule includes applications from May 7–21, document screening on May 22–25, exams in June and final results in July.
